Connecticut Firefighter OK After Getting Hit by Dump Truck

A steel reinforced boot likely saved a Greenwich firefighter from serious injury Friday after a dump truck ran over his foot following the fire department's response to a car fire on Beech Street. Deputy Chief Tom Nixon said the firefighter, whose name the department is not releasing, was transported and released from Greenwich Hospital Friday afternoon with no serious injuries following the frightening incident.
