Texas: Police Officer Struck on Loop 410

A San Antonio police officer is in critical condition after being struck by a pickup truck Sunday evening while assisting at an accident scene. Police Lt. Chris Benavides said the officer, a five-year veteran, was putting out flares to direct cars around a previous, unrelated car accident around 6 p.m. on the access road at Loop 410 near Evers Road.
