Driver of Pickup That Struck Massachusetts Officer to be Cited

The driver of a pickup truck that struck a Peabody police sergeant working a detail on Route 1 Monday morning will be cited at a later date.

Sgt. Eric Zawacki suffered serious injuries in the accident and was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital. He is expected to survive, according to State Police.
