Kentucky Deputy Kills Suspect During Dragging Incident
According to police, two deputies were serving an emergency protective order at a home, but no one answered the door. Sheriff's Office spokesman Carl Yates said about 4 a.m., two deputies noticed a man walking down the street with a gas can in the 3300 block of Powell Avenue. When they questioned the man, Yates said the man got into his car and tried to leave.
One of the deputies approached and tried to grab the man. They began fighting over the steering wheel and the keys to the car and the deputy was kind of half in the car, half out of it and and being drug around the corner. At some point in the struggle, the deputy fired one shot and the suspect was killed.
