Idaho DOT Employee Struck at Accident Scene
On Saturday, February 26, 2011, at approximately 8:56 a.m., Idaho State Police Trooper B. Barnes was assisting at motorist involved in a non-reportable crash on the shoulder of the northbound lane of Interstate 15, at milepost 67 in Pocatello, Idaho. Idaho Transportation Department Supervisor Claylon Perkins, 55, of Pocatello, ID, stopped to assist Trooper Barnes with traffic control. Perkins had exited his 2009 GMC Sierra pickup when KC Petrillose-Parrish, 44, of Pocatello, ID, lost control of her 2004 Dodge Durango. Petrillose-Parrish was driving too fast for the icy road conditions. Petrillose-Parrish's vehicle struck Perkins' vehicle, causing the GMC Sierra pickup to strike Perkins. Perkins and Petrillos-Parrish were transported by ground ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello.
