Washington Fire Truck Hit on Way to Trooper Crash
A Washington state trooper was responding to a call early Friday morning when his vehicle slid off the road, police said. Icy roads caused the accident, which happened just after 1:00, north of Interstate 205 and Mill Plain Boulevard. On the way to that scene, Vancouver Fire’s Truck 6 was also involved in a crash on I-205.
The fire truck was stopped just north of 18th Street when it was struck from behind by an airport shuttle van that had lost control. Driving conditions were poor due to ice on the road.
