Shawnee Kansas Officer Hit By Fleeing Suspect

A Shawnee police officer was struck by a fleeing suspect outside a convenience store Monday evening, authorities said. The police officer attempted to stop a suspicious customer outside a convenience store at 67th and Nieman streets. The suspect then fled and struck the officer with the getaway car, police said.
