Santa Fe Spring, California Firefighter Hit by Truck While Soliciting Money for Charity

A Santa Fe Springs firefighter was hit by a truck on Thursday while soliciting money for a charity on a street, a city official said. The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m. as the firefighter participated in the Fill the Boot fundraiser at Alondra Boulevard and Valley View Avenue, said city spokeswoman Janet Ortiz.
