Motorist Who Struck Illinois State Trooper Was Using Cell Phone

A South Side motorist who struck and seriously injured an Illinois State Police trooper on the Dan Ryan Expressway was distracted by her cell phone and ignored warnings from a passenger as she drove toward the trooper at 60 mph.
