Long-Ago Dobbs Ferry Police Officer's 'Struck-By' Death Worthy of Honor

Police Officer Peter Rodgers was on foot patrol when he was struck by a vehicle. He lived for 16 days before dying from his injuries at Dobbs Ferry Hospital.  But it took 85 years and the efforts of an alert village police dispatcher for Rodgers' story to be told - and for the veteran Dobbs Ferry officer to finally be honored.
