MASSACHUSETTS STATE TROOPER CRUISER HIT BY ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER

A state trooper cruiser was hit by an alleged drunk driver on Route 24 in Stoughton early Sunday morning, police officials said. Around 2 a.m., two state police cruisers with their lights flashing were pulled to the side of the road just past exit 139 so troopers could remove a dead coyote from the road.

Police said that's when a Toyota Corolla driven by Nestor Robinson of Brockton struck one of the cruisers, pushing it into one of the troopers. Fortunately, the trooper's injuries were minor. Robinson faces drunken driving charges.
