VERMONT POLICE OFFICER STRUCK BY CAR

Hardwick police are looking for a person who hit a police officer early Wednesday morning and then took off. The unidentified officer was investigating an incident on Wolcott Street when he was struck by the car. The officer was taken to the hospital to be treated for undisclosed injuries and has since been released. Police say they have recovered the vehicle that was involved, and are now looking for the suspect.
