TWO ARIZONA POLICE OFFICERS STRUCK BY CAR
A suspected drunk driver hit a Scottsdale motorcycle cop early Sunday morning on the corner of Pima and Thomas Roads. Officer James McDonough was waiting at a red light when police say 54-year-old Rosa Toleda ran into the back of his motorcycle with her Ford Escort.
She was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. The first responding officer, Alex Dyer, stopped at the corner of 86th Street and Thomas Road when he was struck from behind by Officer Nate Mullin’s patrol cruiser. The motorcycle officer and the other two officers were treated at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn hospital for minor injuries and have been released.
