PHILADELPHIA POLICE OFFICER HIT BY CAR

Police said a sergeant approached a vehicle parked along Roosevelt Boulevard at Whitaker in Philadelphia that appeared to be empty. When he got the vehicle, police said, a male driver popped up and sped off, hitting the officer and possibly the police car.
