AUSTIN, TEXAS OFFICER HIT BY TRUCK
An Austin Police Officer was hit by a truck on Sunday and police need help catching the driver. Police say the officer was responding to a disturbance near Colorado and 4th Street when the driver hit the officer as he tried to pull him over.
“The driver looked at the officer turned the wheel around real sharply to the left and then sped off proceeding to hitting the officer across the knees in the shin area,” said Detective James Mason of APD. The truck is described as a 2007 or 2008 black Chevy 4X4 with a temporary buyer’s plate displaying the date April 1st. Police say three white or Hispanic men in their late teens or early 20s were inside.
