WOMAN AND DEPUTY HIT AFTER ROLLOVER ACCIDENT IN NEVADA
A woman walked away from a rollover crash in Parley’s Canyon Thursday only to be hit by another driver while waiting for help. The initial accident happened near milepost 132 on westbound I-80 when a woman rolled her car. The woman was not injured and was able to walk away from the accident. She got into a county deputy’s vehicle to wait for help. A UHP trooper also stopped along the side of the road to assist.
A short time later, a 19-year-old woman traveling down the canyon drove out of her lane and crashed her Jeep into both the trooper and deputy’s vehicles.
The teen was seriously injured in the crash. The woman and deputy were also injured but are in good condition. The trooper was not in his car at the time of the crash and was not hurt. Investigators say the teen driver was likely not paying attention.
