VIRGINIA TROOPER INJURED BY ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER
A Virginia State Trooper injured by an alleged drunk driver is doing better.
Trooper Kris Chapman was getting back into his cruiser after a traffic stop in Smyth County Friday night. That's when his car was hit from behind.
Chapman's now in stable, but serious condition at a Bristol hospital.
State police say Barry Dean Marshall II of Abingdon was driving the truck that hit Chapman's car. He's been charged with DUI.
