OFFICER STRUCK IN SOUTHWEST BALTIMORE

A Baltimore Police officer along with another pedestrian was struck at Caton Avenue just south of Wilkens Avenue in front of St. Agnes Hospital. The officer was investigating an accident at the scene when he and a female pedestrian were struck.

Medical personnel from the hospital and ambulance personnel responded to the scene to treat both victims. The officer is in serious condition as well as the female victim who was struck though she is not as seriously injured as the officer. The officer has been transported to Shock Trauma.
