INJURED CONNECTICUT OFFICER EXPECTED TO MAKE FULL RECOVERY
A police lieutenant who was struck by a car Monday evening sustained a broken leg and bruises on his head, but is expected to make a full recovery, police said Tuesday. Lt. Todd Brouillette, head of the detective bureau, was in stable condition at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury Tuesday after having surgery to repair his leg.
Brouillette,46, was struck at 6:02 p.m. on Route 68, Prospect Street, by a 1998 Honda Accord driven by 49-year-old Yan Shi, of 114 Morningside Court in Shelton. She had not been charged with a crime as of Tuesday night. Officers from the Central Naugatuck Valley Regional Accident Investigation Team are still investigating the incident.
