CANADIAN TEEN CHARGED AFTER OFFICER IS STRUCK AND DRAGGED
A 17-year-old boy from London, Ont., is facing charges after a police officer was bumped by a car and dragged a short distance. The officer was checking out a call about a suspicious vehicle Wednesday evening and approached the car in a parking lot. But when the male driver saw the officer, he sped into reverse.
The road was icy and the vehicle swung into the officer, who was then dragged a short way when his uniform got stuck on a part of the car. The officer broke free and did not require medical attention. The driver fled, but was arrested at a home a short time later, and is charged with dangerous driving and failing to remain at an accident.
