ARIZONA DRIVER DEAD AFTER HITTING FIRE TRUCK

A 22-year-old woman is dead after crashing her vehicle into the back of a Glendale Fire Department ladder truck parked while firefighters were on an emergency call, police said. The victim has been identified as Nicole Ward.

The fire truck, with its lights flashing, was parked in a curb lane in front of a house near 51st and Greenway avenues, police said. Firefighters said they heard a huge crash while treating a man who had fallen.
