TEXAS MOTORBIKE OFFICER STRUCK BY CAR

A motorcycle police officer escorting a funeral was hit by a car and hurt Thursday. Deputy Constable A. Clopton was recovering at Memorial Hermann Hospital and was in stable condition. The accident happened in southeast Houston at Cullen and Reed.

The officer was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

Clopton was escorting the funeral procession when a car cut through the procession to make a turn. Clopton's bike was struck. Two adults and a child who were in the other car were also taken to the hospital after the accident.
