TENNESSEE DEPUTY REAR-ENDED BY HIT AND RUN DRIVER

The Knox County Sheriff's Department is looking for a suspect they say rear ended a deputy's cruiser and then took off. Dispatchers say it happened near the intersection of Asheville Highway and Strawberry Plains Pike just after 11:00 Monday night in East Knox County.

Officials are not releasing much information at this time, but dispatchers say deputies are searching for possibly a white vehicle with heavy front end damage. There is no word on whether the deputy involved was injured.
