KENTUCKY FIREFIGHTER HIT BY CAR

A firefighter in Daviess County, Kentucky is struck by a vehicle while directing traffic this morning. According to the sheriff's department, 40-year old firefighter Steven Mattingly was re-directing traffic due to a structure fire on Highway 2830 when he was hit by a vehicle driven by Edward Nies.

Mattingly was transported to an Owensboro hospital by ambulance.

No word on his condition.
