HUNTSVILLE, ALABAMA OFFICER HIT BY ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER
A Huntsville police officer and a bouncer are recovering after they were run over by an alleged drunk driver. According to Huntsville Police, Randall Miller, 23, was leaving a bar on 11th Street early Friday morning when authorities tried to detain him. That's when Miller reportedly backed his vehicle into a bouncer, then ran over a detective's foot before driving away.
Both men hit are recovering. Authorities say the bouncer suffered minor back trauma, while the detective's foot was broken. Miller was later stopped and arrested on four felony charges, including intoxication assault of a police officer, which is a second degree felony that could land him up to 20 years in prison. Miller is out of the Walker County Jail on $50,000 bond.
