DRUNK DRIVER HITS WEST VIRGINIA DEPUTY'S CRUISER

A Kanawha County Deputy is recovering after he was hit by a drunk driver.

The accident happened early Friday morning on MacCorkle Avenue in St. Albans.

According to the criminal complaint, Jesse Williams hit a deputy's cruiser and took off running.Officers later found him 2-blocks way at a home on A Street.

Deputies say Williams lied about this name and refused to take a Breathalyzer.

Williams now faces several charges including obstructing an officer, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under the influence.

The deputy was taken to the hospital along with two others that were in Williams' car. No one was seriously hurt. Williams is also wanted in Indiana on charges.
