D.C. OFFICER STRUCK BY LIMO UPGRADED TO FAIR CONDITION
The D.C. police officer who was struck by a stolen limo while trying to save his partner last week has been upgraded to fair condition.Officer Brian Bobick pushed his partner out of the way of a speeding stolen limo just before 5 p.m in the 4300 block of Ord Street near Kenilworth Parkside Thursday night, police said, and the limo hit him instead.Police said the mountain bike officer's heroic actions put him in the hospital.
Bobick was taken to Washington Hospital Center for treatment of multiple severe facial fractures.He underwent multiple surgeries and police said he will likely have to undergo several more.A 15-year-old has been accused of intentionally trying to run the officers down. He has been charged as a juvenile with assault with intent to murder.
