NEW HAMPSHIRE OFFICER ARRESTS DRIVER AFTER BEING STRUCK AT ACCIDENT SCENE

A Pelham, New Hampshire police officer had a close call when he was hit by a car at an accident scene, then chased down the driver and arrested him. Daniel Silva of Lowell faces numerous charges, including drunken driving, as a result of the early morning incident.

Officer Eugene Stahl was investigating an accident on Windham Road when a speeding car approached. Stahl tried to signal the driver to slow down when police say it crossed over the fog line on the side of the road and hit him.

The officer was not hurt, but the impact tore his radio off his belt and broke his Taser holster. Police say Silva kept going, but was eventually pulled over.
