WASHINGTON STATE POLICE MOTORCYCLE TROOPER INJURED

Thursday afternoon October 25, Trooper Wayne Turner was struck by a pickup pulling a trailer.Trooper Turner, driving his motorcycle unit, had stopped a motorcyclist on Sullivan Road near 27th.

Both motorcycles were parked on the right shoulder of Sullivan Road. A pickup towing a flatbed trailer drifted to the right, striking Trooper Turner and his motorcycle. The driver of the pickup, John B Whitlock, 64, was booked into Spokane County Jail for DUI. Trooper Turner was treated and released at Valley Medical Center for injuries to his left elbow.
