MICHIGAN STATE POLICE OFFICER HIT BY TRUCK
A Michigan State Police trooper is recovering today after a Labor Day accident that left him injured. Trooper David Mata from the Wayland Post was conducting a traffic stop on northbound U.S. 131 north of Wayland around noon Monday when his cruiser was side-swiped by a semi-truck.
The semi-truck driver was ticketed by the Allegan County Sheriff's Department.
