LOUISIANA OFFICER STRUCK BY A VEHICLE FOLLOWING UNDERCOVER DRUG BUY
A man uses his car to hit a deputy's during an undercover drug buy in Webster Parish Thursday night September 27. That's according to Webster Sheriff Gary Sexton. It all happened at the intersection of Highway 531 and I-20 in Minden.
Sexton says, once the deal was done, deputies surrounded the car, and that's when the driver allegedly hit the undercover deputy with the car as he jumped out.
Officers then reportedly fired shots at the car. One suspect was grazed with a bullet through his clothes but not injured. The undercover deputy was sent to the hospital and checked out but does not appear to have life threatening injuries. Three suspects, reportedly with criminal history were taken into custody. The operation was a joint effort between Webster Parish and Minden Police Department.
