TEXAS POLICE OFFICER HURT IN HIT-AND-RUN CRASH
A San Antonio police officer was injured early Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on the city's Northwest Side. The officer was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Bandera and Guilbeau roads at 1 a.m. when a pickup truck rear-ended the police cruiser, police said.
The officer was transported to University Hospital with neck and back injuries but is expected to be OK. The driver, a man in his 30s, fled the scene but was arrested not far from the scene on suspicion of drunken driving, police said.
