MILTON, MASSACHUSETTS FIREFIGHTER STILL SERIOUS AFTER JUNE CRASH

The Milton firefighter critically injured after he was hit by an alleged drunk driver is still receiving treatment for his injuries more than one month after the incident. On June 30, 44-year-old Antonio Pickens ran out of the fire station on Blue Hill Avenue to help with a nearby car crash. That's when police say he was hit by a car driven by C.W. Tolbert of Stoughton. Officials say Tolbert was drunk at the time of the incident.

Tolbert is now facing his third drunk driving charge. Officials at Beth Israel Hospital tell us Antonio Pickens is still at the hospital and is listed in serious condition. Pickens, a father of two, was thrown 70 feet by the force of the crash. He has been a Milton firefighter since 1995.
