NEW YORK DEPUTY'S CAR STRUCK ON 490 EAST
Monroe County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Rochester man for driving while intoxicating and hitting a deputy's cruiser early Friday morning.
A deputy called 911 around 1:30 a.m. to report a vehicle passed him on Interstate 490 eastbound heading west.
Moments later another deputy, Robert Day, called 911 to report the vehicle had sideswiped his cruiser and continued down the expressway in the wrong direction. Five minutes after his call another deputy pulled the vehicle over and arrested the driver, Patrick Walsh, 35, on misdemeanor DWI and reckless driving charges. He was released into his mother's custody.
