HIT-RUN CRASH INJURES NEW JERSEY OFFICER

A police officer was struck and injured by a hit and run driver in Hamilton Township, Mercer County late Tuesday night, July 3. The officer was hit while directing traffic following a fireworks display at Veterans Park near Kuser and Whitehorse-Mercerville Road. Police said the car jumped a curb, struck the officer and fled the scene. The officer was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
