CALIFORNIA OFFICER STRUCK WHILE CONDUCTING SOBRIETY TEST
A San Diego police officer is recovering from minor injuries Sunday June 24 after being struck by a suspected drunken driver while conducting a field sobriety test on another driver. Sgt. Sharon McNair had pulled over a driver on University Avenue in North Park just after 2 a.m.
She was standing outside her patrol car conducting the sobriety test when another suspected drunk driver rear-ended the cruiser and pushing it into her.
Authorities stated that she was X-rayed and released. The passenger in the second car also suffered minor injuries. Both of the drivers were arrested.
