DALLAS OFFICER STRUCK BY SUSPECTED DUI DRIVER

A Dallas police officer was injured after being struck by a suspected drunken driver. This incident happened at about 3 a.m. Saturday May 26 as Officer Stephen Cole was investigating a collision between a taxi and another car on Stemmons Freeway at Royal Lane. The officer and the taxi driver and his five passengers were all struck by a vehicle

The officer was treated and released from Parkland Hospital. The injuries to the officer and the taxi driver were non-life threatening
