TUSTIN OFFICER HIT BY CAR DURING INVESTIGATION
A Tustin police officer was struck by a car Thursday night April 5 as he investigated a non-injury collision, but his injuries appeared to be non-life threatening. The officer was standing on Jamboree Road near Barranca Parkway at about 8:40 p.m. when he was struck by a car driven by an elderly driver.
The officer struck the windshield of the car.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with California Highway Patrol officers. All lanes on both sides of Jamboree Road were blocked as Tustin police and CHP officers investigated the accident
