PENNSYLVANIA TROOPER'S SUV HIT AT SCENE OF FATAL I-79 MOTORCYCLE CRASH
A crash involving a car and a motorcycle killed one man on Interstate 79, and it was followed by another collision involving a state police trooper.
Police said the first crash occurred at about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in Marshall Township, near the Wexford exit. The motorcycle, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the car's right back corner.
Shane Stringer, 27, of Baden, was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene. While the crash was being investigated, a sport utility vehicle traveling on I-79 smashed into a state police SUV, police said.
One police trooper was treated at a hospital and released. It's unclear if the driver of the first SUV was injured or will face any charges.
