NEW YORK STATE TROOPER HIT BY CAR IN DRUG BUST
A New York State trooper is recovering from his injuries Wednesday night after he was struck by a car while trying to thwart a drug deal in Buffalo Tuesday. A Rochester man is one of three people charged in the attack.
Authorities say investigator Joseph Commisso and a colleague witnessed a drug deal involving four men, two in a car and two in a pickup truck.
Authorities believe when the suspects discovered they were being watched, a car, driven by Lawrence Baker, 19, of Rochester, deliberately struck investigator Commisso's unmarked car and Commisso, throwing him onto the hood of the car and over the windshield. Baker then fled in the car onto the Buffalo State campus where he was eventually arrested.
