FLORIDA MAN ARRESTED FOR 70TH TIME AFTER HIT-AND-RUN CRASH WITH DEPU
A Central Florida man was arrested Thursday afternoon for nearly the 70th time in six years after police said he tried to run over a sheriff's deputy who was riding a motorcycle.
Rodney Antonio Griffin, 26, was arrested on multiple charges after being involved in the hit-and-run crash with an unidentified Orange County sheriff's deputy.
Griffin was pulled over in the parking lot of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, and deputies said he got out of his car, apologizing to the deputy. The deputy did not suffer serious injuries although he said his right side hurts after his 700-pound motorcycle landed on top of him.
Deputies told Local 6 News that Griffin has had his license suspended 25 times and has a violent criminal history, including arrests on drug and resisting arrest charges.
