TEXAS OFFICER WORKING FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT NEARLY HIT BY ANOTHER DRIVER

A Houston patrol officer was blocking traffic on the North Freeway at Little York. He was diverting cars onto the feeder road because of the fatal accident that happened earlier. Investigators say a man traveling at a high rate of speed slammed into the left rear portion of the patrol car. The impact sent glass and metal flying in all directions. Amazingly, no one was hurt. Both the driver and the officer walked away without a scratch. The incident happened at about 3:15 AM on January 31.
