KENTUCKY STATE TROOPER STRUCK BY TRACTOR TRAILER

One Kentucky State Trooper is in the hospital this evening after an accident on I-65 near Bowling Green. Trooper Tim Adams was assisting a non-injury accident scene when a tractor trailer lost control. The tractor trailor jack-knifed and hit the emergency vehicles at the trooper’s location. Trooper Adams jumped over the guardrail to avoid being hit, but in doing so he got his foot caught under the Semi-truck’s large tire. Adams was assisted by Park City Fire Department and then transported to T.J. Samson hospital for treatment of a broken femur and bruised ankle.
