AUSTRALIAN OFFICER DIES AFTER BEING STRUCK BY CAR
Inquiries are continuing into a fatal incident at Craigie in Perth's northern suburbs on February 15 which claimed the life of a police officer. The site where the Joondalup based constable was struck by a car and killed is still surrounded by a plastic shelter. Major crash and forensic detectives are still conducting a detailed examination of the scene. The 31-year-old constable and his partner were attending a domestic dispute near the intersection of Whitfords and Eddystone Avenues around midnight. It is understood the officer tried to slow down an approaching vehicle while dealing with a man and a woman involved in the dispute. The officer was struck by the passing car and died at the scene.
