WISCONSIN STATE PATROL VEHICLE GETS HIT ON HUDSON I-94 BRIDGE
A Wisconsin State Patrol cruiser was hit by a semi-trailer on the I-94 bridge in Hudson Friday afternoon January 19. The accident took place in the westbound lanes of the bridge at 2:41 p.m. Trooper John Dubois had stopped to provide assistance to Timothy Nolen, 47, Brooklyn Park, Minn., whose vehicle had run out of gas.
Both Dubois and Nolen were in the State Patrol vehicle when the vehicle was pulling off the shoulder and back into the lane of traffic when the trooper's vehicle struck the wheels of the semi-trailer. "The semi-truck was in the lane it was supposed to be in," said Klatt. The semi-truck was owned by Wal-Mart and was driven by Robert Holerud, 52, Wilson. No one was injured in the accident.
