IRWIN MAN ALLEGEDLY HITS PENNSYLVANIA TROOPER WITH DUNE BUGGY
A Westmoreland County man is behind bars after he allegedly hit a state trooper with a dune buggy. The trooper spotted John Brentzel Jr, 26, from Irwin, riding down Station Road in the vehicle near Herminie and tried to pull him over. Brentzel then allegedly weaved down the road to prevent the trooper from passing him. The trooper got by, but that’s when Brentzel rear-ended the patrol car and went off the road. After asking Brentzel to stop, the trooper approached the dune buggy and tried to restrain him. But Brentzel struck the trooper’s leg as he drove off.
