FLORIDA DEPUTY PINNED AGAINST CAR BY THEFT SUSPECT

Deputy Michael Leatherman was running after three passengers who fled the stolen vehicle when the driver struck him Sunday morning January 7. Leatherman suffered a broken ankle. Godefoy was tracked down by a helicopter and police dogs. He's behind bars on $100,000 bail. He's facing charges of attempted first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer, grand theft auto, possession of marijuana, driving without a valid license and resisting arrest without violence. A 19-year-old passenger was arrested and charged with grand theft auto and resisting arrest. Two other passengers got away.
