SOUTH CAROLINA TROOPER STRUCK WHILE DIRECTING TRAFFIC

A state trooper was hit by a car Saturday night near Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is trying to figure out if the driver who hit trooper M.L. Anderson did it on purpose or if it was an accident. It happened around 9:30pm, when Anderson was working traffic during Saturday's high school football games at the stadium. Authorities tell News 10 that the trooper received minor injuries to his leg and ankle and had to be transported to the hospital.
