ALLEGED DRUNK DRIVER HITS FLORIDA DEPUTY

A Hillsborough County deputy is recovering after he was hit by a suspected drunk driver early Wednesday morning November 29. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s office says the Corporal Teddy Lynn, a 16-year-veteran, was actually pulling over another car when the accident happened around 3:00 a.m. The deputy pulled a car over for speeding at the intersection of West Windhorst Road and Highview Road in Brandon. According to the deputy, a 1979 El Camino came around a corner towards him, and he jumped through the window of the first car to get out of the way. The driver of the second car is now in custody, and she has been charged with driving under the influence.

Corporal Lynn had only minor injuries.
