CHICAGO TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO OFFICER'S BROKEN LEG
A Chicago police officer conducting a traffic stop on the Northwest Side early Friday November 10 suffered a broken leg and other "bumps and bruises" when he was struck by a passing car. At about 1:40 a.m., the officer was conducting the traffic stop at Altgeld Street and Pulaski Road when another vehicle struck him. The officer was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center with a broken leg. His injuries were not life-threatening. The driver of the car that struck the officer remained at the scene and was taken into custody.
